Below you will find some frequently asked questions I receive from many of my clients. I have tried to answer all of your questions and concerns, however, if you still can’t find what you’re looking for, please drop me a message. I will get back to you as soon as possible, so don’t hesitate to reach out.
I'D LIKE TO BOOK FOR YOUR MY WEDDING, WHAT IS THE PROCESS?
At the stage of enquiry, I will request your bridal party information. Such as bridal party numbers and services required, from here I will create and provide you with my quote.
I will hold your date, for one week and if you wish to proceed a booking fee of 30% is required to secure your booking.
WHICH PAYMENT METHODS DOES LAUREN HUMPHREY HAIR AND MAKEUP ACCEPT?
My preferred method of payment is bank transfer, however you are welcome to pay by cash but this must be on the day prior to your service taking place. This is not due to being untrusting, it is really a uncomfortable experience to need to chase for delayed payments.
DO YOU OFFER A BRIDAL TRIAL BEFORE BOOKING?
A bridal preview is included in my booking.
However, if you wish to 'try before you buy' you are welcome to book me for an additional trial before proceeding with your booking.
Please be mindful, that wedding dates do go quickly and I cannot guarantee your date will remain available.
WHEN SHOULD I HAVE MY WEDDING PREVIEW?
The ideal time is 6-12 weeks before your wedding day, as by this time you usually have your dress and a clear idea of how you want your wedding to look.
Previews take place with me on Sunday-Thursday, although I will do my upmost to offer flexibility where available.
DO I NEED TO HAVE A BRIDAL PREVIEW?
I would absolutely recommend every bride has a preview.
It is a chance not only for us to get to know each other but also for me to understand your makeup vision, the opportunity to see what it actually looks like and to perfect your look.
If there are any necessary tweaks to be made we can adjust until you are completely happy so you can relax knowing that you don’t have to worry on your wedding day.
Only on rare circumstances will I book a wedding without a trial pre agreed, this will be at my discretion.
WHERE WILL MY BRIDAL PREVIEW BE HELD?
I have access to a salon studio or you may prefer to choose your own location, within 10 miles of HP20. Travel costs will be discussed outside of this area.
CAN MY BRIDAL PARTY HAVE A TRIAL?
Absolutely! However, your bridal preview is included in your booking, you may book a trial for your bridal party in addition to this.
I do recommend however, your bridal preview should be focussed on you and bridal party trials hosted separately.

Although this can be a lovely experience, sometimes hosting the bridal preview with a bridal party trial can take away from the importance of just focusing on you. The choice is yours!
WHAT IS YOUR MINIMUM AND MAXIMUM BOOKING NUMBER?
Minimum
I have a minimum booking of the bride and two bridal party members.
You can however still book me for a smaller bridal party but at the same minimum cost.
Maximum
When bridal party numbers are high (approximately 6+) or timing is restricted due to early ceremony time; a second artist may be required. I work with a strong group of stylists trained by Jodie Ellanor Hair & Makeup and will source another artist that will be of a similar high skill set, fully insured and experienced in bridal hair or makeup. Please note an assistant fee is charged to secure a second artist.
